Check in to Paradise Cottage
After an eight-minute ferry ride to the island via our private shuttle boat, which departs from the waterfront of sister property Opal Key Resort & Marina, you’ll check in to Paradise Cottage. Serving as your home away from home, it’s every bit as indulgent as it sounds – think pastel-colored wood finishings, an authentic Victorian-style tin roof, fully equipped kitchen, and impeccably appointed interior. Not to mention, there’s also a bougainvillea-draped, wrap-around porch complete with rocking chairs.

Seaside Dinner for Two
Although it may be hard to pull yourself away from your accommodations, the island beckons you to explore its reaches. As the sun dips low in the sky, you’ll make your way to a table for two at Latitudes, the resort’s award-winning restaurant. While the open and airy dining room might be calling to you, your private table is actually waiting outside, overlooking the sea and setting sun. Lined by low hedges and palm trees and illuminated by tiki torches and starlight once the sun sets, it makes for a meal made even more delicious by the surroundings.

Beach Bound
Perhaps one of the best parts of this island is its private stretch of beach – something you won’t find in Key West proper. We’re talking a perfect crescent of white sand studded with lounge chairs and tiki hut umbrellas. So sit back, relax, and spend the morning soaking up the sun, while sipping on a cucumber-basil cooler, handcrafted and brought straight to your lounger.

A Warm Welcome
Host a festive welcome soirée for your wedding party and out-of-town guests without stepping foot off the island. Latitudes consistently receives accolades from the likes of Travel + Leisure and Food & Wine magazines for its romantic ambience, unparalleled views, and ever-evolving menu that is truly a work of art. Menu items such as succulent line-caught fish, expertly prepared and artistically delivered, offer a glimpse into the culinary delights that are sure to be the highlight of your wedding weekend.

Rise & Shine
Your “Rise and Dine” breakfast basket, filled with a variety of breakfast staples like pastries and fresh fruit, comes hand-delivered to your cottage, to be enjoyed from the Adirondack chairs on your wrap-around verandah. After, make your way to the open-air, thatched-roof hut at the ocean’s edge for an ethereal couple’s spa experience at the expert hands of the resort’s attentive massage therapists.
Before you know it, it’s time to prepare for the main event. The one-of-a-kind, three-bedroom, three-and-a-half bath Paradise Cottage has ample space for wedding preparations, whether you’re accompanied by attendants or it’s just the two of you. If your wedding embodies a more beachy, laid-back vibe, use this time instead for a friendly game of tennis or to simply relax by the heated free-form pool, accented by a waterfall and impeccably landscaped tropical gardens.

First Look, Ceremony & Cocktail Hour
With lush tropical beauty around every corner, it’s hard to decide where to capture those first-look photographs. Flowering bougainvillea and exotic orchids provide a pop of color against the traditional Key West architecture of the cottages that dot the island, and the gardens surrounding the pool are bursting with native flora.
Your private beach ceremony takes place on the sand at The Point. Protected by a sea wall of rocks on one side and a beach gazebo with lush tropical greenery on the other, this breathtaking setting is rivaled only by the cerulean waters of the Atlantic Ocean beyond.
Then, it’s off to the launch dock to board the Fury Catamaran for a lively cocktail hour on the high seas. Your guests will toast the newlyweds with their choice of free-flowing champagne, wine, or beer and butler-passed hors d’oeuvres as your chartered vessel plies the waters of Key West.

Dinner & Dancing on the Sunset Deck at Opal Key Resort & Marina
Fury Catamaran will deposit you at Opal Key Resort & Marina, where you’ll make your way to the rooftop Sunset Deck of Bistro 245, the resort’s signature restaurant, just in time for the magic hour. The Sunset Deck offers up unobstructed views of Mallory Square in an atmosphere of exclusivity, while the built-in bar ensures that party-goers won’t miss a moment of the fun. Here, you’ll treat your guests to an evening of dinner and dancing they won’t soon forget, under a canopy of festival lights.
Not ready for the day to end? In Key West, it doesn’t have to. Just a block away, the iconic watering holes of Duval Street offer up a vast array of entertainment, whether you’re seeking a sophisticated nightclub vibe or low-key cobblestoned patio. Guests staying on the mainland will find themselves just steps from their accommodations, while the 24-hour ferry stands ready to transport Sunset Key Cottages guests back to the island as the night comes to a close.

Seaside Send-Off
What better way to send your guests off than with a sumptuous alfresco brunch on the large patio of your Paradise Cottage? Our seasoned catering team serves up traditional favorites with a tropical twist while you reminisce about the previous day’s events.
Now that the festivities have come to a close, it’s time to reconnect as a couple and explore everything Sunset Key and Key West have to offer, whether you want to relax by the zero-entry pool with a piña colada from Flippers, try your luck at deep-sea fishing (did we mention that Latitudes will cook up your catch?), or kayak through a tunnel of mangroves. History buffs will delight in the eclectic architecture of Old Town Key West and the iconic Hemingway House and Museum – and don’t miss the nightly Sunset Celebration on the pier!
